For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly perceived, ever since, the creation of the world, in things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they new God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Romans 1:20-21. Paul stresses that humanity not only has the opportunity to know God through general revelation, but that the revelation yields real knowledge. Humanity’s sin is the individual refusal to acknowledge what is already known to be true. The consequence of rejecting God was that their hearts and minds grew dark. Understand that there are no excuses for either the believer or non-believer when one refuses to acknowledge truth. Recognize you’re need to give Him honor and thanks today and every day.
